Conshohocken, PA (2/24/21) Van Horn, Metz & Co. Inc. is pleased to announce that Anamaria Tanase (pictured right) will serve as the new Director of Supply Chain and Product Development. Anamaria was previously the Marketing Manager and also assumed responsibilities developing Product Categories and negotiating new contracts with foreign suppliers. This background, and the strong relationships Anamaria built with suppliers and customers, will help her succeed in her new role.
“I am looking forward to learning a different side of the business, as well as making an impact with improving the logistics and purchasing aspects of the company,” Tanase said.
To fill out her team, Tanase hired Aya Saad as a Supply Chain Specialist. Aya is originally from Egypt and previously worked in logistics, customer relations, and marketing at Pirelli Tires and Mercedes-Benz. In addition to her work experience in Egypt, Aya worked for Treco Fibematics, Inc in the United States as a Production and Material Manager. Aya is multi-lingual and her experience with handling international shipments and inventory management will be a great benefit to the Supply Chain Department.
“I think [Aya’s] experience in supply chain and inventory management will add value not only to the department but also to the company,” Tanase said. “I am looking forward to working together with Aya to reduce freight costs, improve lead times and provide our customers with on-time material, given the challenging times we are facing.”
