Barry Fisher
President of Van Horn, Metz & Company, Barry joined the company in December 1984. Prior to joining VHM, Barry was Product & Sales Manager for GE Silicones, Chemist and Product & Sales Manager for Southwest Petrochem. Barry has dedicated his career to develop expertise in Coatings, Adhesives and Plastics industries. He has sold to, and serviced PVC compounders, wire and cable manufacturers, and the decking industry. Barry graduated with a Bachelor of Science from The Pennsylvania State University and MBA from La Salle University.
Barry served as President of Philadelphia Society for Coatings Technology, Philadelphia Paint and Coatings Association, Board Member at Large for NACD Board of Directors and Chemical Education Foundation. Currently, he is Chair of the Baden Powell Society of the Union League of Philadelphia and a Member of the STEM Committee of the Cradle of Liberty Council of Boy Scouts of America.

John Nucero
CFO of Van Horn, Metz & Company, John joined the company in January 2021. John has extensive experience in similar roles, most recently with Fiber-Line, LLC, a market leader in value-added components used in the fiber optic cable industry. In this position, he was responsible for all financial reporting, banking relationships, budgeting, forecasting and a key member of the senior leadership team. He also spent three years as CFO for Sure Fit, an importer and distributor of slipcovers and other home decorating accessories. Prior to these two roles, he spent 15 years in various financial executive roles with CSS Industries, a global marketer and producer of seasonal expression consumer products.

Andy Romano
Vice President, Andy Romano, joined Van Horn, Metz in June 2016 and became Director of Sales in 2020.
Prior to joining VHM, Andy was the Coatings Resins Market Manager for Evonik Corp. He also served as the Product Manager for GAF Materials Corp. and Project Manager for Drew Division Ashland Chemical. Andy’s technical background includes research and development of new products for coatings, inks, latex and adhesives industries focused on foam control, inverse emulsion polymers and water-soluble polymers. Andy has a BA in Chemistry from NYU and a MS in Chemistry Polymer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology.

VIEW SALES REPRESENTATIVES
David Anderson
David joined Van Horn, Metz in March 2022. He spent a majority of his career as a Technical Sales Representative for Deltech Resin Company which was purchased by Gabriel Chemical in 2020, and then acquired by Hunstsman Advanced Material’s Division in 2021. He has a strong focus in alkyd chemistry for coating resins, composites, adhesives, functional polymers, and insulating varnishes. David also served as the Vice President of the Metropolitan New York Coatings Association. David graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelors and Masters in Business Administration in 2010.

Randy Bumgarner
Randy joined Van Horn, Metz in September 2016. In the chemical industry Randy has held several positions in Sales, Purchasing, Operations and Logistics in the past 35 years. Prior to joining VHM, Randy was Vice President of Sales and Supply at Blue Ridge Solvents & Coatings. Randy has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, where he graduated with Magna Cum Laude.

Jim Clark
Jim joined Van Horn, Metz in September 2016. He has a long history in chemical sales with St. Lawrence Chemicals covering Plastics, Lubricants and Coatings Industries. Jim also spent time as an Account Manager for Quadra Chemicals where he was responsible for sales and product management within CASE markets. Jim has a degree in Marketing and Business Administration from Centennial College in Toronto, ON.

Jacob Fisher
Jacob joined Van Horn, Metz in October 2020 as an Account Manager, covering the Central and Western States. He holds a BS in Animal Science from Penn State University. Prior to VHM, he worked for the USDA and other research labs where he published several research articles. Jacob also has a background in search engine optimization and aids in VHM’s marketing efforts.

Bruce Fredrickson
Bruce Joined VHM in 2022 with the acquisition of Ivanhoe Industries. He was with Ivanhoe since 2010 as a Regional Sales Agent covering the lubricant, metalworking and electronic chemistries markets primarily for the triazole chemicals. Prior to that, he worked with PMC Specialties Group for 11 years in Sales & Marketing for their line of triazole chemicals, and for 15 years at American Chemicals as a Regional Sales Manager for their line of industrial chemicals. Bruce earned a BS in Biology from SUNY Oneonta.

Roque Guerzon
Roque started with VHM in August 2018. He graduated from Villanova University with a BS in Chemistry and has also an MBA degree from St. Joseph’s University. Prior to joining Van Horn, Metz, Roque had worked at Coatings Development Group for twelve years as the Technical Director, and at Finnaren & Haley for eight years as an R&D Chemist. Roque’s strong technical background and experience in the specialty chemical business, brings value to both our customers and our Principals.

Keith Hansen
Keith joined VHM in March 2021. He started his career as a technician at Air Products and eventually managed their epoxy additives business for architectural and industrial coatings. Prior to joining VHM, he was the Business Development Manager at Wacker Chemical identifying new business for natural fiber composites and bioplastics. Keith has a BS in Chemistry from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Ralph Hartman
Dr. Ralph started with Van Horn, Metz in October 2003. Prior to joining VHM, Dr. Ralph was with Rohm and Hass where he held several positions in different divisions Agricultural, Coatings and Plastic Additives. His involvement was mainly in technical sales and product development for PVC extrusion and molding industries. Dr. Ralph has a BS in Biology from Juniata College, a MBA in Marketing from Hamilton University and Honorary PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Chrissy Malette
Chrissy started at VHM in August 2022. She has a strong background in customer service and account management. She began her career in 1994 as a store manager at Peach State Paging and Cellular before moving on to run the customer service department at Clique Here in 2004. Chrissy will focus on cosmetic accounts in the Southeast. She holds a BS in Human Services from Purdue University and currently resides outside of Atlanta, GA with her family.

Ted started with with Van Horn, Metz in September 1995. Prior to joining VHM Ted was the President of Meyer’s Chemical for 25 years. Ted has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Syracuse University and he is currently a member of the Buffalo Rubber & Plastics Group.

Greg Thielen
Greg Thielen began his career as a Technical Sales Representative with BASF Corporation. He specialized in formulating new colors for automotive coatings, and implementing color information systems and blending/tinting systems at a manufacturing facility. In 1997, Greg became a Regional and Global Key Account Manager within BASF/Englehard/Sun Chemical focusing on all pigment chemistries. He served as a Sales Team Lead within the effect pigment market and introduced new products into automotive applications. Greg earned a Masters of Business Administration from University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Oakland University

William Tuszynski
Bill has been in the chemical and lubricant industry for 40 years. He joined Pennwalt Corp., now a part of Arkema, as a research chemist in 1982 before moving to a new business development position in 1989. He joined Inolex in 1995 where he managed the Industrial Group. Together with two partners, he acquired Ivanhoe Industries in 2005 where he was CFO and led the company’s growth in lubricants and personal care. He left Ivanhoe in 2016 to form The Unami Group where he served as a sales agent for Ivanhoe and other principals along with consulting in lubes and greases. Bill is an active member of STLE and NLGI and a volunteer at the Science History Institute in Philadelphia. He recently served as co-editor of Volume 7 of NLGI’s Lubricating Grease Guide. Bill holds a BS in biochemistry from Manhattan College and a PhD in chemistry from Cornell University.
