Tetrabromobisphenol A-bis (2,3 dibromopropyl ether) is an additive flame retardant containing a high level of aromatic bromine, it has strong thermal stability, making it particularly suitable for high temperature applications. It exhibits good UV resistance and therefore recommended for applications where color stability is required. Because of its thermal stability and low blooming characteristics, this flame retardant is suitable for use in systems where recycling is anticipated.
It is an additive flame retardant for thermoplastic, elastomeric and thermoset polymer systems, such as HIPS, PBT, polypropylene, LDPE, EPDM, unsaturated polyester, and epoxy. It works excellent for coatings and adhesives systems, including back-coatings for fabrics.
