Royale Black-PI 101

PI101 is a very low structure specialty black designed to exhibit high gloss and moderate jetness for high quality offset inks. It is available in soft bead form. PI101 is a blue tone carbon black with very low vehicle demand. Because of its low vehicle demand it is suitable for applications where highly loaded base is required. It is relatively easy to disperse than other ink blacks. This black imparts fast wetting, blue undertone and good dispersion stability of the ink. It has good medium optical density and is suitable for water based systems with acrylic and maleic resins. It helps to maintain abrasion resistance of the finished print which is a pre-requisite for packaging ink. It can also be used in liquid powder coating applications.
