Vinyl Acrylic Latex

Vinyl acrylic latex products are economical binders that find extensive usage in interior architectural paints, pigment dispersions, adhesives, non-woven binders, and sealants. Copolymerizing acrylic monomers with vinyl acetate enhances the performance of the polymer by improving flexibility without using plasticizers, increasing water-resistance of the final product, and reducing VOC’s.

• SC-5174

  StanChem SC 5174 is a vinyl/acrylic copolymer developed specifically for interior and exterior paints and coatings. SC 5174 exhibits an excellent combination of flexibility and hardness. Intumescent and fire-retardant paints produced with SC 5174 provide superior scrub resistance, durability, and flexibility.

• SC-5184

• SC-5218

  StanChem SC 5218 is a surfactant stabilized, vinyl/acrylic copolymer emulsion for paints and coatings, including intumescent coatings. SC 5218 provides the formulator with superior scrub resistance, durability, and flexibility.

• SC-5237

  StanChem SC 5237 is a cellulose ether-stabilized, vinyl/VeoVa® copolymer dispersion. While designed specifically for high performance intumescent paints and coatings, SC 5237 is also suitable for low cost, high PVC interior or exterior paints.

• SC-5273

  StanChem SC 5273 is a new generation, APEO-free vinyl/acrylic copolymer latex that contains no formaldehyde or formaldehyde donors, and no phthalates. It is designed for use in a wide variety of paints, coatings, and sealants.

• SC-5274

  StanChem SC 5274 is a vinyl acetate copolymer-based pressure-sensitive emulsion exhibiting an excellent balance of peel, tack, and shear properties. SC 5274 exhibits excellent adhesion to a variety of both rigid and flexible substrates, and is APEO- and formaldehyde-free.

• SC-5400

  StanChem SC 5400 is a general-purpose vinyl acrylic emulsion that is internally plasticized to yield a low Tg. SC 5400 can be used in a wide variety of paints, coatings, adhesives and sealants.

• SC-6125

  StanChem SC 6125 is a vinyl acrylic copolymer emulsion designed for sealants and adhesives. SC 6125 provides excellent adhesion to wood and other surfaces. SC 6125 is an internally plasticized polymer that dries to a very flexible, tack free, water resistant surface, and is readily paintable.

• SC-6449

  StanChem SC 6449 is a vinyl acrylic copolymer emulsion for pressure sensitive adhesive applications. SC 6449 exhibits very high tack with excellent adhesion to a large variety of substrates.
